National Trust Box Hill

Merrywood Park is so close to the National Trust countryside surrounding Box Hill that residents have their own private access onto the Headley Heath woodlands.

There are incredible views from the famous Salomon’s Memorial Viewpoint, from which you can see for twenty-five miles on a clear day, even glimpsing the South Downs in the distance. Well-resourced, the National Trust centre (open throughout the year) offers details of fantastic walks including the Stepping Stones, picnic facilities, a new Natural Play Trail for children, cycle trails and café.

Box Hill Village

Box Hill village centre offers plenty of facilities for residents of Merrywood Park. The village doctor’s, Hillside Surgery, is a dispensing practice. There is a small convenience store offering basic grocery shopping, milk and newspaper deliveries and a Post Office.

There is a Sainsbury’s and a Waitrose Supermarket in Dorking, approximately two miles from Box Hill.
